William R. (Bill) Sims

William R (Bill) Sims – Announcer, Program Director & General Manager of KATI/KAWY – was at KATI from 1961-63 and again 64 to 1969. Bill left Casper in 1969 to move to Cody where he bought his own radio station KODI. Bill later went on to buy or start additional stations in Wyoming in Laramie and Green River. In the early 80’s, he sold his radio properties here and moved back to his home state of New Mexico. He started another mini broadcasting empire in several markets in New Mexico including Sante Fe.  Currently, Bill has sold his interests in his New Mexico properties and moved to Puerto Rico, where he has an interest in a station there.
