Jack Breece  (Station Owner – Founder)

Announcer 1965-57   Jack applied for the original licence for KATI and it was granted in 1956.  He was also KATI’s General Manager and Salesman.

KATI was officially licensed to operate by the Federal Communications Commission on May 5, 1956, and the station went on the air on that date. The license and construction permit was originally issued to Jack Breece from Lander, Wyoming in 1955, but he only operated the station for less than a year.  His original call letters for the station were supposed to be KTOO, with it’s studios and offices to be the Gladstone Hotel in downtown Casper.
