Jim White was one of the first employees to work for Jack Breese and KATI as both the Chief Engineer and later an announcer. In addition to White’s engineering duties at KATI he was also one of the “KATI KAVE MEN”. Jim did on-air work particularly after Ken & Misha Prather bought the station in 1957 until his departure in 1960. His employment application, provided by his daughter Linda Shultz, indicated that he left the station sometime in 1960. Jim White later went on to work at Casper’s other two stations at the time KVOC and KTWO in the early to mid 60’s.
His program was known as “Jim White Tonight.” While his career started in the late 40’s, after the war, he continued to work in broadcasting completing his career at KLMR in Lamar, Colorado in the 80’s.
