John  Garriety – KATI Sales

KATI Sales person from approximately 1966 – 1969.  John left KATI in late 1969 to form his own advertising agency called Dorn, Garriety & Payne. 

The agency was originally formed with Bob Dorn, a professional photographer, John Garriety, Account sales and Larry Payne, KATI’s Production Manager and voice announcer.

The agency operated a number of years with Dorn leaving within a year of forming.  Larry Payne left to become the General Manager of KRAL in Rawlins, Wyoming in 1971.  John Garriety eventually turned the agency into a weekly shopper style newspaper called “The Casper Journal.”  While he specialized in the shopper, Garriety also kept the broadcast sales part of the agency until the early to mid 70’s with Dave Nutter doing copywriting and voice commercials for their clients.
