Sidney King

KATI Sales Exec, Sales Manager & General Manager 1961-1964

Sid was an advertising salesman on KATI beginning in about 1960-61.  He later became the Sales Manager of the station and when the Prathers left for Boulder, Colorado, King was named the General Manager of KATI.  He left the station when Pat Meenan bought controlling interest in the station in late 1963.

Sid King then went to KVOC, Casper, in 1964, where he was the General Manager for Harry & Alice Bubeck who had just bought the station.  King remained at KVOC until about 1971. Sidney eventually left Casper for Apple Valley, California, where he bought KCIN in 1978.
